While the factory EBCS works ok at stock boost pressure it is not able to keep up at higher boost pressures. 3 Port Boost Solenoid 08-21 STI and WRX
The Cobb EBCS (Electronic Boost Control Solenoid) part # 715750 is a plug and play solution that provides more boost for your 08-2020 STI or 08-2014 WRX. As boost levels are pushed higher during an ECU tune it’s paramount that your boost control solenoid is able to properly manage those increasing boost levels. The OEM Subaru boost solenoid can support small increases in boost but is very limited and quickly becomes a problem on cars looking to make big power. Don’t get caught trying to use the OEM boost solenoid, with a simple upgrade to a Cobb 3-Port Boost Control Solenoid you can be sure that you won’t have any issue with controlling boost on your Subi. Cobb Tuning 3-Port Boost Control Solenoid (BCS) for Subaru WRX STi 2008-2020
The COBB Tuning 3-Port BCS features 1/4″ low-profile barb fittings to keep the unit compact and are nickel coated for corrosion resistance. Viton spools and seals are used throughout for long life and lubricated with Dow Corning silicone grease. The manual override is sealed with an O-ring, the wiring harness is sealed to the casing using a waterproof grommet and the solenoid wires are ultrasonically welded to the coil, making the device waterproof and safe to wash. The BCS is rated to operate up to 120psi.
COBB Tuning has made the COBB 3-Port BCS installation as simple as possible. It mounts in the stock location and plugs directly into the stock wiring harness, making the physical install and electrical connection as simple as possible. The BCS comes with a billet aluminum mounting block, stainless steel hardware, boost-line to complete all connections and zip-ties to route the boost-line neatly through the engine bay. Installation Instructions are provided, are easy to understand, and provide routing instructions for both internal and external wastegate configurations.

Must have part for any 2015+ WRX with a Cobb AP. When using these boost solenoids we are able to fine tune the boost control MUCH more accurately than when using the oem solenoid. More accurate boost control means we are able to make more power throughout the entire RPM range all while putting less strain on the engine.
